We carried banners that said, 'We want time to play.' 'We want more schools and less hospitals.'

Bonnie and I are old school. We write our articles with pencil and paper, we fiercely resist PowerPoint at the World Forum, and we like to talk to people face to face. But the young and restless on our staff are relentlessly pushing us to join the twenty-first century. So today we are taking another step in that direction with Bonnie's Blog. So check out what she said (in part) in her first message and then

"Word on the street is that you’ll be interested in becoming intimately involved in our work life through this blog. Scott told me that there are blogs about cupcakes, so there will certainly be interest in the people we talk to and the ideas and challenges shared. We’ll soon see, won’t we?

"Debra Sullivan shared thoughts with me about community: 'We don’t know what amazing and powerful things we might be able to accomplish if we create strong communities.' How do we create these communities in our world today? It occurs to me that this blog might be one way . . ."

On the main topic---I definately know the "old school way" of doing things and also know how hard it is to "get with the technology of today"! But, it does have fascinating prospects and is quite exciting and we "old school" folks can rest in moving on without forgetting!
But, my main comment is about the book, "From My Side: Being a Child'. This is the most amazing book about children shown mainly through pictures, as mentioned, of children around the world. I laughed and cried, both at the same time. It is well worth the purchase!
