How to Access Articles on Demand

Quick Steps

  1. Login to your Exchange online account.  If you have not created an online account, you will need to do so.
  2. Once you login, click on “Articles on Demand” under "Resource Type" in the left-hand navigation menu or under "Shop".
  3. Search for articles by topic, title, author, and/or date.
  4. To read an article, click on the title. To print or save an article, click the icon “Print or Save this PDF.”

Detailed Instructions

  1. You must have an Exchange online account to be able to search and download articles to your desktop. If you have an existing online account go to step #2 below. If you do not have a current online account, go to step #3 below.
  2. If you have already created an Exchange online account, visit www.ChildCareExchange.com and login by entering your email address and password. Look for “Login” in the gray bar at the top right of the page. Then, skip to step #4 below.
  3. If you have not already created an Exchange online account, you must do so in order to access Exchange Articles on Demand. Visit www.ChildCareExchange.com and look for “Login” in the gray bar at the top right of the page.  In the pull-down menu, click on “New to Exchange? Create an Account!” Follow the instructions provided for creating your account.
  4. Now that you have logged-on to your existing online account or created an online account for the first time, you will be automatically directed to a page entitled “My Account.” On this page you will find the status of:

    • your Exchange magazine subscription
    • your free subscription to ExchangeEveryDay
    • your Articles on Demand subscription
    • your purchase history
  5. In the “Articles on Demand” section you will find a link entitled “Browse Articles.” Click this link to proceed to the article search page.

    (Note that once you have logged-on to www.ChildCareExchange.com, you can reach the article search page at any time without returning to your “My Account” page simply by clicking “Articles on Demand” in the left column under “Resource Types.” This same column of choices appears on all website pages to help you navigate throughout the site. If you try this method without logging in, however, the system will not recognize you as a subscriber to Articles on Demand and will attempt to charge you for the articles you select to download.)

  6. Now that you are on the article search page, enter a topic, title, author and/or date and click on “Search.”  A list of the articles that meet your search parameters will be displayed. To read an article, simply click on the title. To print or save an article, click the icon “Print or Save this PDF.”
