Quarters from Kids
Both Exchange and the World Forum Foundation have
joined as Coalition Partners with a new organization, Quarters
for Kids, a nationwide, grass-roots effort to engage young Americans,
and adults who work with them, in a collective response to the tsumani disaster
in Asia.
According to the organization's web site, "Quarter by quarter, kid by kid,
we can make a real difference if we work together. It will take hard work, caring,
and a lot of money to rebuild and heal this region now and in the future. The
quarters (and dollars) that you give and raise from friends, neighbors, and
classmates will reach children and adults in Asia who urgently need it."
Quarters for Kids is not collecting money itself. Contributors
select a highly respected relief organization and send their contributions directly
to them.
