"It is my belief that the thing which we should cultivate in our teachers is more the spirit than the mechanical skill of the scientist." - Maria Montessori

Join Us for Working Forum Belfast

The World Forum Foundation in partnership with NIPPA -- The Early Years Organisation of Northern Ireland is holding a groundbreaking Working Forum Belfast, "Buiding Bridges:  Healing Communities Through Early Childhood Education -- Powerful lessons from Northern Ireland and other communities around the world."  Presenting their stories will be early childhood leaders from areas of conflict such as Northern Ireland, South Africa, Israel/Palestine, Nepal, Rwanda, Albania, Bosnia, Croatia, East Timor, and Sri Lanka.  This event will take place in Belfast, Northern Ireland at the Europa Hotel on November 18 and 19, 2004.

Scheduled in conjunction with Working Forum Belfast are two additional activities:

Field Work Day:  On November 17, delegates to the Working Forum will be given the opportunity to participate in site visits to communities to see first hand how early childhood services are delivered in Northern Ireland.

EC eTeaching Institute -- a distance education seminar:  On November 20, the World Forum Foundation will offer a hands-on seminar for early childhood faculty, trainers, and adult educators who are new to distance education and need to learn the basics of effective teaching and learning at a distance.
