How to Live a Good Life
December 8, 2017
Teachings come from everywhere when you open yourself to them. That’s the trick of it really, to open yourself to everything and everything opens itself to you.
-Richard Wagamese, 1955-2017, Embers: One Ojibway's Meditations

"I love posing questions to the community that has sprung up around my Facebook page," wrote Susan Biali, M.D., in an article in Psychology Today, "and a while ago I asked what single piece of advice they would give a 20-year-old on how to live the best life possible. I was deluged with dozens of wise responses from people all over the world."

Here is a sampling of some of the advice Biali received:

"1) Don't sweat the stuff that you have no control over...

2) Learn people skills. Above all the dreams and education, how you relate to and understand other people is one of the most important assets you can attain...

3) Never put your self-worth in anyone else's hands...

4) Live below your means...

5) Always keep a part of your life in service to your fellow man. It is not all about you...

6) Do not follow the crowd."
