Microsoft Offers Preschool Evaluation
October 22, 2003

"Since most of us spend our lives doing ordinary tasks, the most important thing is to carry them our extraordinarily well." - Favorite quote of Australian architect Glenn Murcutt

MICROSOFT OFFERS PRESCHOOL EVALUATION

The homepage of MSN recently had this intriguing headline: "signs of a bad preschool". Curious what Microsoft would consider a "bad" preschool, we followed this header and it took us to BabyCenter.com, a Johnson and Johnson company. BabyCenter identified these warning signs:

* A so-so rating from parents
* Loose rules and poor organization
*  Lack of age-appropriate curriculum
* An underqualified, undercompensated staff
* Dirty, unsafe facilities
* An expired license

This article will undoubtedly be consulted by more parents than will visit web sites within the early childhood profession. For that reason we encourage you to check it out and send your reactions to us at [email protected].
