We walk up the beach under the stars. And when we are tired of walking, we lie flat on the sand under a bowl of stars.... They pour into us until we are filled with stars, up to the brim.
-Anne Morrow Lindbergh
Work and Family Life newsletter from December 2013 offered this view on multi-tasking:
"If you want to do your mental best, don't ask your brain to keep switching focus from one activity to another, say researchers at Carnegie Mellon University's Human-Computer Interaction Lab. They gave study participants a cognitive skills test, and they interrupted some of them with text messages but not others. The test-takers who were interrupted performed about 20 percent worse than the others. The study supports other research that shows multi-tasking makes it harder to concentrate and filter out irrelevant messages."

I wonder if the outcome would be the same for those with dual language. Just a thought.
