"It is easy to confuse the content (WHAT is being taught and learned) with the intelligence and strategies we are using to present the content (HOW we teach and HOW a person learns, processes, or integrates any given content)," observes Constant Hine in Engaging Adult Learners Using Multiple Intelligences.
"Rather than focusing on which Multiple Intelligence strategies might be best to use to teach any particular topic or content, reframe and shift your attention to address and match the needs of those you are teaching. Use Multiple Intelligence strategies to support the diverse ways of learning, rather than selecting common strategies to teach a specific topic or content. Colin Rose says, 'The more ways we teach, the more people we will reach.' It's a reminder for adult educators to focus on ensuring learning occurs as a criteria for rating success, rather than merely being satisfied with what is taught."

How do we get this across to legislators? They think by scripting lessons we will magically get the content across. So disconcerting!
