Play and Science
February 8, 2013
The best remedy for those who are afraid, lonely or unhappy is to go outside.
-Anne Frank

"What do science and play have in common?" In his TedTalk Neuroscientist Beau Lotto thinks all people (kids included) should participate in science and, through the process of discovery, change perceptions. In the talk he notes:

"So what is evolution's answer to the problem of uncertainty? It's play. Now play is not simply a process.  Experts in play will tell you that actually it's a way of being. Play is one of the only human endeavors where uncertainty is actually celebrated." Contributed by Kirsten Haugen
