Lillian Katz's comments were the only ones with clarity. The other educator who said something meaningful was the woman who talked about children all learning at different rates and at different time. Eeveryone else spoke in such generalities that I felt perplexed as to what they were talking about. I more worthwhile video would explain HOW, by observing children in their play and their interactions we can accurately assess their abilities. More people should be reading and applying the updated classic, "Observing and Recording the Behavior of Young Children" by cohen, Stern, Balaban and Gropper as their guide for understanding and assessing children.
