Mud Day was a big success all around the world. In Nepal, Bishnu Bhatta, the creator of Mud Day, enabled thousands of adults, children and one elephant to play in the mud! Here is an excerpt from his colorful report on Mud Day in Nepal:
"Khugu Sharma Bhatta, a prominent local figure whose land was the site of International Mud Day, said he was so happy and proud that people have come to his fields to celebrate. He told us that on this day in the past, 32 pairs of bulls with ploughs were used to level the ground and plant the rice. He is glad people are celebrating the mud, as it is important because all people need food from the fields. Now he says that they will have the Mud Day Celebrations every year on his land."

Our daughter had loads of mud fun on the day at Whistlebrae Nature Kindergarten, Perthshire, Scotland. She made mud pies and even brought one home for us to try! Thanks!
