At first, I disagreed with Neil Howe and William Strauss and came to believe that people born in 1978 were the first of the Millenials, because the Baby Bust TYPICALLY ended that year, and those born in '78 just came of age when the Web became popular (hence the term "Net Generation"). However, I now realize that ANYONE can be a millenial if he/she is tech - savvy and open - minded to ALL kinds of diversity. There are many people who do not fit into the "generation" to which they were assigned, which is why I do not believe in categorizing generations according to dates, but rather according to the characteristics that an individual has.

Somebody please help me understand flexibility. Am I supposed to be flexible enough that I'm ok with someone no-showing for a scheduled shift? or am I supposed to be flexible enough to allow for no hassle scheduled time off?
I'm good with the no hassle scheduled time off but I've got problems with the no-show. Does that make me millenial unfriendly?

This sounds like all the benefits that Generation X'ers want (being a Gen X-er myself)! Flexibility in my job (for family, fun, etc) is the number one preference for me!
