If you really want to make a friend, go to someone's house and eat with him...the people who give you their food give you their heart.
-Cesar Chavez
At Exchange magazine we are in the midst of developing our editorial calendar for the next 18 months — both for Exchange magazine as well as for our web site.  We need your help in letting us know what the topics are that you most want to learn more about, what issues are hot in your community, and what are the areas where you need materials to help in staff development.  Last year when we conducted this survey, you told us that these were your top ten topics of interest:
  • Brain development
  • Running a green program
  • Appropriate circle time activities
  • Impact of state Pre-K on providers
  • Managing challenging behavior
  • Children with special needs
  • Nature education
  • How to handle difficult staff
  • Conflict resolution among young children
  • Play
To let us know what is on the top of your list for Exchange this year, cast your votes in this week's Exchange Insta Poll.

Exchange now offers you two ways you can earn CEUs for directors and teachers.  First, you can receive CEUs from the University of Wisconsin-Stout for reading topical sets of Exchange articles — and this week, these CEUs are on sale at a 20% discount.  Second, your staff members can earn CEUs from the Early Learning Coalition of Pinellas County for participating in training based on Exchange Out of the Box Training Kits.
