There is no chance, no destiny, no fate, can circumvent or hinder or control the firm resolve of a determined soul.

Exchange magazine is throwing a training party in New Orleans to celebrate the resilience of the Gulf Coast early childhood community on June 7.
Exchange writers, including Paula Jorde Bloom, Kay Albrecht, Sandra Duncan, Pam Schiller, Luis Hernandez, Debra Sullivan, Roger Neugebauer, and Karen Stephens are donating their time in providing workshops for early childhood professionals from the Gulf States. In this retreat day, "Replenishing, Rebuilding, & Rejuvenating," participants (who can register for only $10) will be able to take part in yoga, Jazzercise, make and take sessions, dance to a New Orleans jazz band, and win door prizes galore.
Exchange is supported in this effort by Lakeshore Learning Materials, Bright Horizons Family Solutions, Teaching Strategies, Northwestern State University, and Delgado Community College. For more details go to the Agenda for Children web site at

Great idea.
All teachers need the time to regenerate and reflect. Specifically those who dealt with the hurricane Katrina. Kudos for the support.
