Wanted: Special Indoor Spaces
July 24, 2007
One isn't necessarily born with courage, but one is born with potential. Without courage, we cannot practice any other virtue with consistency. We can't be kind, true, merciful, generous, or honest.
-Maya Angelou
Every program has special indoor spaces that children love. Maybe it's a big comfy chair where they like to curl up with a book — or a "secret" hideaway. Perhaps you've created a dramatic play area that draws them in every morning, or a block area that supports inclusion.

We are eager to see what creative spaces you have created in your early childhood program. The November/December 2007 issue of Exchange will share a sampling of submitted ideas.

We invite you to send a photograph and a brief description of your special space to us by August 31, 2007.

To see an example, of how these special places will be displayed in Exchange, please see the PDF article "Art Projects Using Everyday Materials" which appeared in our May/June 2007 issue and which can be viewed in the "Exchange Ideas for You -- FREE" section or our homepage, www.ChildCareExchange.com.

DETAILS: Email a high resolution JPEG that is no larger than 6MB. Keep your photos and descriptions simple. You can submit multiple images but limit it to 4 maximum. Submit your photos to [email protected] by August 31, 2007. Any questions, please direct them to [email protected]
