There have been articles on dealing with staff, staff problems, etc. What if the problem lies with the director and asst. director? There should be a way that they are assessed, too.
Our director and asst. director are cold people-never help in the classrooms as they do not want to "get dirty". I have been a director and know you cannot know your center unless you are truly involved.
We are often over ratio, under staffed and get only a 30 minute break each day. Rules come and go depending on their moods or who they are dealing with. We are to be professional, yet they gossip and mimic all of us behind our back.
We have the potential for a wonderful center, but how do staff talk to supervisors who don't care to listen?
