Would Seniors as Caregivers Solve Everything?
January 4, 2006
"It takes a big heart to help shape little minds."
-Unknown

A provocative article in the New Statesman discusses a number of concerns about work. "Older people are being told they will have to work until 68, while women in their30s are being told they are harming their children by working outside the home. Meanwhile, some older people who want to work are not able to. The article suggests having grandparents provide child care for increased pensions, solving everyone's problems." I guess that means we can finally retire to Hawaii. Oh, if it was really all that simple.... Welcome to the granny state. (2005, December 2).

New Statesman, Vol. 134, 4769, 7.
