Program Purpose

The possibility to offer a brief introduction about an aspect of an educational experience known as the Reggie approach. This experience incorporates a company, Reggie children, whose aim is to defend and to protect the rights of all children.

Program Description

In the presentation Reggie children's activities will be shared in regard to their identities, to their complexities and to the organization of professional development initiatives in connection with the basic principles of the Reggie approach.

The municipal infant-toddler centers and preschools will be introduced through words and images that will support the sharing of important aspects of their philosophy.

Most Unique Program Feature

Reggie children was established with the aim of protecting and promoting the wealth of experience accumulated over many years of work in the field of early childhood education by the municipal infant-toddler centers and preschools of Reggie Emilia.

In the context of widespread crisis in education, cultural impoverishment of educational systems and neglect of the rights of children the Reggie children project was designed to create opportunities for exchange of ideas, discussion, and research on a topic that will be decisive for our future: a new culture of childhood that places real value on the potential and creativity of children.
