alive, one must hope it has in some way happened that he has talked with his

Samuel Johnson Passion
Continues
Today in Racine, Wisconsin people have gathered to pay tribute to the late Samuel
C. Johnson. Johnson, chair of the SC Johnson family of companies
(producers of such products as Johnson's Wax, Windex, Ziploc, Raid, Off and
Pledge) since 1967, gained a reputation in the corporate world as an environmnental
champion, an innovator, and shrewd business developer. In the many communities
in 60 nations where SC Johnson has a presence, Johnson earned a reputation as
a friend of families and communities. Throughout his term of leadership Johnson
maintained charitable donations of 5 percent of profits to improve the quality
of life around the world.
Today, Samuel Johnson's son and successor, Curt Johnson, in remarks made at
the tribute, vowed to continue "Sam's commitment to Racine and to all our
host communities aroung the world." He added...
"I intend to further that commitment in my own way. Right now we are in
the process of organizing a global children's intitiative that will involve
adopting schools in host communities around the world."
The World Forum Foundation is working with JohnsonDiversey
to identify target schools eventually in all 60 nations where the
company has offices. Stay tuned to ExchangeEveryDay for additional
news on this initiative.
