Your Feedback on ExchangeEveryDay

Your Feedback on ExchangeEveryDay

Thank you for the very many of you who provided us feedback on ExchangeEveryDay in last week's Exchange Insta-Poll.  You gave us a wealth of ideas -- in fact over 10% of you expressed interest in at least 95 different topics!  Our take-aways from the survey:

1.  You value practical ideas.  If you look at the final results (click on  "View past Insta-Poll results" on our home page, www.ChildCareExchange.com), you will see that you want ideas to help you on the job -- ideas on staff training, staff motivation, parent/staff relationships, leadership, evaluation, and staff appraisal.  We can do that.

2.  You have little interest in non-work related topics.  From time to time we like to provide a little change of pace with editions on people's favorite movies and books, or some off-beat ideas.  Topics such as these received few votes.

3.  There is a clear difference in the interests of US subscribers and subscribers from outside the US. US subscribers want the practical management ideas; international subscribers are interested in global news, global trends, research updates, and World Forum updates.  This will require some thinking on our part.

4.  People really like the quotes.

5. Some of you questioned the correctness of the Insta-Polls -- results were seen as unscientific and the choices listed as unevenly expressed.  You are right on both counts!  The Insta-Poll is an informal survey shaped by whoever happens to respond -- its results may be informative, but should not be considered scientificly valid.  Likewise, the choices sometimes become a bit uneven as we usually invite participants to add their own choices and try not to edit these.

6.  Some of you also asked if you are free to send specific issues of ExchangeEveryDay out to your friends or to include them in newsletters and on web sites.  The answer is a resounding yes -- as long as you site the source as www.ChildCareExchange.com and encourage readers to subscribe for free.
