Sara Gilliam, Exchange’s Editor-in-Chief for the past seven years, has embraced a new role with an organization she founded (learn more in Dear Reader, in the Fall 2023 issue). We thank Sara for her great contributions, will miss her humor, talents and insatiable curiosity, and wish her the best of luck in her new journey as we now embark on our own journey to find our next Editor-in-Chief.
We are looking for someone with a passion for the early childhood field, a motivated team player, connector and collaborator, a creative and big picture thinker who can also manage timelines and details. Following in Bonnie Neugebauer and Sara Gilliam’s steps, the new Editor-in-Chief will lead our editorial and production team in producing quality content for both Exchange magazine and our new online Content Hub, to engage and inspire readers like you. Our new editor will build on our 45-year legacy by playing a major role in significantly expanding the content, reach, and impact of Exchange, providing a vibrant platform for ideas, innovative practices, research, and strategies from a range of voices in the field of early care and education.
If this role excites you or sounds like someone you know, learn more about the position on the Dimensions Educational Research Foundation website. At Dimensions and Exchange Press, we are committed to building a diverse, inclusive, and authentic workplace that enriches our thinking, our connections and our impact. If your experience doesn’t align perfectly with every qualification in the job description, but you have unique strengths and talents you believe will enhance this role, we are curious and encourage you to apply.
