Earth Day 2023

Once I spoke the language of the flowers. . . . How did it go? How did it go?
Excerpt from "Forgotten Language" by Shel Silverstein, 1930-1999

Celebrate Earth Day 2023 with inspiration from "My Future My Voice," "featuring 205+ young environmental leaders from 93+ countries around the world." Each one shares a video explaining their work for and commitment to the environment.

These young artists, activists, researchers, and non-profit founders have all found ways to act: creating art from discarded materials; creating programs so minority youth can access nature; discussing environmental issues with political leaders and much more. Those of us who no longer fit the 'youth' category might find projects of our own to instigate or support.

If you'd like to support children in finding daily access to nature, join educators, caregivers, environmentalists, designers, naturalists and other leaders at the 2023 Leadership Institute: Celebrating Inclusion and Belonging, hosted by Nature Explore and the Outdoor Classroom Project, July 30-August 2, indoors and out at Lied Lodge in Nebraska City, Nebraska.
