The more than 450 members of the Exchange Leadership Initiative (ELI) are everywhere, doing powerful work. All of them share these traits:

Passion and a belief that they must, and can, make a difference on behalf of young children and their families or in the early childhood field.
Vision for what needs to happen.
Determination, grit, persistence, and a willingness to continue to learn and grow.

Let us empower those whom we see "lead," encouraging them to acknowledge their impact as change makers, mentors, and role models. Let us intentionally consider diversity and equity. Let us invite our colleagues who may have been marginalized due to systemic inequities. Help us to reach leaders who may not yet recognize this call to action is for them.
