Thank You
Without memory, there is no culture. Without memory, there would be no civilization, no society, no future.
Elise Wiesel
In March, 2020, when it became clear how serious the pandemic was going to be, I began writing a more personal message in ExchangeEveryDay each Monday. Here’s part of the first one I wrote:
"There are many things I don’t know in this time of uncertainty, but here’s one I do: we all need each other. And we need each other’s most authentic selves. Now is not the time to keep an impersonal professional distance. We need to reach out (virtually) as fellow human beings and become a source of strength for one another. We must make sure that even though our borders are sealed, our hearts are not."
Today I want to say thank you for the many ways you have shared your hearts with all of us at Exchange. You have written inspiring articles; posted supportive and provocative thoughts in EED’s comment section; responded to surveys and helped us develop resources you needed most; and you’ve continued to subscribe to Exchange magazine.
Here’s the beauty of Exchange: It’s your magazine, not just created FOR the early childhood field, but created BY the field. It’s the place to share ideas, learn from each other, feel inspired, challenged at times, and always supported. We hope you love it as much as we do. Thank you for taking this journey with us.
With gratitude and respect,
Nancy Rosenow
