CONFERENCE FOR CHURCH-HOUSED
PROGRAMS
The Ecumenical Child Care Network is holding its annual conference,
"Advocating for All God's Children," in Chicago prior to the NAEYC
conference. It will take place on November 5 from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm in
Olivet Baptist Church at 3101 South ML King Drive (6 blocks from McCormick Place,
the site of the NAEYC event). Barbara Bowman from the Erikson Institute will
offer the opening keynote followed by workshops including:
* Self-Care for Clergy and Other Leaders
* Board Communication
* Creative Responses to Conflict
* Supporting Spiritual Growth in Children
* Shared Space
* Anti-bias in Faith Based Programs
* Speaking of Language and Literacy
* Recognizing Quality in ECCN Programs
* Movement for Children
* Music that Soothes and Stirs the Infant/Toddler Soul
* Advocating for Peaceful Play
* Creating Activities for Infants and Toddlers
* Dealing with Grief and Loss
