CALL FOR NACCRRA CONFERENCE
PRESENTATIONS
The 2004 Policy Symposium for the National Association of Child Care Resource
and Referral Agencies (NACCRRA), "Shaping Results Based Early Learning
Systems" will be held in Washington, DC on February 25 - 28, 2004. NACCRRA
is currently inviting presentation proposals. Priority will be given to
proposals which explore research, current and emerging trends, and effective
strategies in the following four content/topic areas:
1. Financing & Integrating Systems of Care: Financing Strategies; The Role
of Municipalities and Communities in Early Care Systems; Public School Integration;
Transition to School; Community Systems for Children with Special Needs (implementing
IDEA).
2. Promoting Quality in All Settings: Community-Based Training Systems-Research
and/or Effective Practice; Child Outcomes; Tiered Quality Rating Systems; The
Early Childhood Workforce-Research & Demographics; Early Literacy; Infant
Toddler Mental Health Issues; Distance Learning in Professional Development;
School-Age Child Care; Infant/Toddler Care; Higher Education; Homeless Children
and Early Learning.
3. Family Engagement: Trends and Demographics of Families & Parents; Documenting
and Analyzing Child Care Need; Fatherhood Research, Roles and/or Initiatives;
Parents as Advocates; Literacy and the Family; Voter Registration Initiatives.
4. Building Excellence in CCR&R: Implementation of CCDBG; Strategies for
Excellence in Hard Times; Implementation of Market Rate Surveys; Accountability
and Outcome Measurement; Emerging Roles for CCR&R; Data Ownership &
Partnering; Research & CCR&R-Establishing Partnerships; Implementation
of an Economic Impact Study; Quality Assurance
