The World Forum Foundation made a commitment to the Clinton Global Initiative to connect two million young children with nature in the next two years. In order to attain this goal, the World Forum Foundation secured a grant from the IBM Global Work/Life Fund to create an online Connecting Children with Nature Environmental Action Kit, and then contracted with Dimensions Educational Research Foundation to develop the Kit. In conducting research for the Kit, the Dimensions staff worked with dozens of environmental and early childhood organizations to identify and evaluate existing resources. After collecting the best of existing resources, Dimensions identified and filled gaps in resources.

It is the goal of everyone involved in this project that the Kit, which contains hundreds of guides, tools, and other resources for parents and professionals, will serve as a helpful and important resource to people all over the world who wish to re-connect our children with the wonders of nature. It is available to all ExchangeEveryDay readers free of charge. All we ask is that you share it widely and give us feedback on how it met your needs.
