CENTER DESIGN INSTITUTE
The 4th Annual Harvard University Graduate School of Design's Institute
for Child Care Design, Child Development Centers for the 21st Century, will
be led by Bright Horizons Jim Greenman, Senior Vice President of Education
and Program Development, and Mike Lindstrom, A.I.A., Horizons Design. This 5-day
seminar, taking place June 23 - 27, 2003, will utilize a multidisciplinary
approach that brings together the knowledge and perspectives of architects and
designers, educators, and child care professionals in an active, hands-on, team-oriented
approach.
The Institute faculty will bring to bear extensive experience to provide conceptual
and technical information based on a wide range of design solutions and provide
concrete tools for real challenges in the design of child care environments.
The Institute will attract architects, educators, design professionals, builders,
owners, and child care sponsors from around the world. Jim Greenman is a recognized
leader in the creation of developmentally appropriate environments for children
whose books include Caring Spaces, Learning Places and Places for Childhoods
