Summer Viewing
Kind words can be short and easy to speak, but their echoes are truly endless.
Mother Teresa
If you are in the mood to ease off and watch some good movies this summer, here are some movies that Bonnie and I have found not only engaging, but also touching on child and family issues....
- The Girl in the Cafe — fun, bumbling romance with a political finale.
- Wondrous Oblivion — a sports story that's really about multiracial families learning to get along
- The Italian — orphaned Russian boy in search of his mother
- Paper Clips — how a school can energize kids and mobilize a community
- Children of Heaven — an Iranian boy loses his sister's shoes
- Tsotsi — South African baby touches even the hardest of hearts
