Roger's Recent Mystery Favorites...

1. Tears of the Giraffe by Alexander McCall Smith (Anchor Books, 2000). A mystery solved by a female detective in Botswana.

2.  A Samba for Sherlock by Jo Soares (Vintage International, 1997). Sherlock goes to Brazil.

3.  Murder in Belleville by Cara Black (Soho Press, 2000). Cool female detective on the case in Paris.

4.  A Small Death in Lisbon by Robert Wilson (Berkley Books, 2000). From Berlin in the '40's to Portugal in the '90's.

5.  The Crook Factory by Dan Simmons (HarperTorch, 1999). Ernest Hemingway fights Nazi's, and J. Edgar Hoover in Cuba.
