"To change one's life: Start immediately. Do it flamboyantly. No exceptions." —William James
WORLD FORUM AT NAEYC
On Friday, November 22, Child Care Information Exchange and the
International Step by Step Association are co-sponsoring
a World Forum Seminar at the NAEYC Convention in New York City (Marriott Marquis.
Julliard/Imperial Room, 1:30-3:30pm). At the World Forum on Early
Care and Education, early childhood leaders from 80 nations discuss challenges
in providing quality services for children and families in diverse settings.
In this World Forum Seminar, two World Forum participants will share their experiences
and perspectives in promoting early childhood services under most challenging
conditions. Dina Aikzhanova from Kazakhstan will describe her agency’s
efforts to launch early childhood programs centered around instilling values
inherent in a democratic way of life in a former Soviet nation. Andrew Ikupu
from Papua New Guinea will describe his efforts to preserve indigenous cultures
in over 800 communities through the establishment of early childhood centers.
