Who's the Target Audience?
The target audience for this kit is all teachers working with children from birth to 8. Teachers will consider the impact of knowing about change on family members’ reactions and responses.

Kit Timeline:
Preparation time for this kit is estimated at 1.0 hour. Implementation time is 1.5 hours.
Training Outcomes:
- Teachers will explain to families any changes to their classroom environment.
- Teachers will describe the ways that informing families about changes can build reciprocal trust and lessen anxiety.
These training outcomes address the following:
- C-1c, C-3a, C-5a-b, C-7, C-8a-b, C-9b, and C-9e of the Accreditation Criteria and Procedures of the National Association for the Education of Young Children (naeyc, 1998).
- 2 and 4a of NAEYC Standards for Early Childhood Professional Preparation, Initial Licensure Level (naeyc, 2003).
- 1304.40(e)(2-3) of Head Start Performance Standards (Federal Register, Nov. 5, 1996, Volume 61, Number 215).
