Reclaiming Love in Early Childhood Theory and Practice
An Engaging Exchange with Carol Garboden Murray, hosted by Exchange magazine Editor-in-Chief Sara Gilliam and Kirsten Haugen of Exchange Press.

When: Tuesday, March 8th at 7:00-8:30 pm Eastern

Includes: Exchange magazine article, "Professional Love: The Heart of Our Work" by Carol Garboden Murray (PDF)

In this conversation, we will think about how we can take action to reclaim LOVE as an educational value, an emotion, an action, and a practice that fits beautifully with our central work as early childhood educators. Looking at our work through the lens of care ethics is a revolutionary shift that can help us claim our unique identity as early childhood teachers. We who work with babies, toddlers, and our youngest children, have a spectacular front-row seat at the beginning of life. The nucleus of care offers us a unique opportunity to ponder love as the serious sturdy foundation for nurturing a flourishing life.
