Adventure Course

In order to keep the older kids coming, we are concentrating on programming and activities for kids 6-12 years old. From activities like soccer leagues, overnight campouts, and boating . . . our Adventure Course is a huge hit!

At a cost of $3,000-$8,000, it provides a thrill (at a height of 60 feet in tall oak trees) that the kids clamor for. The activity is an instant self-esteem builder as well as a wonderful opportunity for kids to learn about team-building. Less expensive than swimming pools, these adventure courses are very popular with kids 8-12 years old.

Also, this coming summer will see the opening of a go-cart track that is totally electric. The carts are built just like the big gasoline ones except that they are propelled at a speed of no more than seven miles per hour by twin electric motors. We'll convert a paved parking lot to a race track by placing hay bales in a 100 foot long oval.

Others ideas: Create your own carnival by renting games and other equipment. Crazy Hat Day is always a big hit, as is the Pieathelon, where the entire camp goes through challenges and each group ends up with a whip ...
