Hippity Hop Child Care Center used to be such a nice place to work. But lately things haven't been going so well. Several employees seem to be unhappy. As it turns out, they have different complaints:

Mary took two days off to attend a funeral. When she returned, the director told Mary that the days off would be without pay. There is no funeral leave policy at the center; vacation leave must be requested two weeks in advance. Mary thinks the policy is unfair since she had earned several vacation days.

Anne, an aide at the center, has a new lead teacher who has been critical of her work. Recently, the lead teacher told Anne that they will no longer meet together to plan. From now on, the lead teacher will plan and conduct all teaching activities. Anne will be responsible for clean up after activities and supervision of the children during meals, naptime, and bathroom breaks. Anne has always been treated as an equal by other lead teachers and resents this new definition of duties.
