Ready for International Mud Day? It's one month away!
May 29, 2023
I rose from marsh mud algae, equisetum, willows, sweet green, noisy birds and frogs.
-Lorine Niedecker, 1903-1970, Poet
Play in the mud with us on June 29, the 22nd Annual International Mud Day! The World Forum Foundation Nature Action Collaborative for Children invites all of us everywhere to join this globally muddy celebration wherever we may be.
What began as an exchange between two children's programs, organized by Bishnu Bhatta of Nepal and Gillian McAuliffe of Australia, is now shared throughout the world, with each program and individual participating in their own way. Share resources on mud play and outdoor experiences, organize activities, invite children and families to participate, take photos and write your story, (and please tag them #wfmudday). Try splashing, mashing or mixing mud. You might soak in the mud, make mud pies or mud prints, or create a mud slide. However you do it, we invite you to go outdoors with a playful spirit and muck about with children.

Visit worldforumfoundation.org to see what it's all about, discover Mud Day resources you can use, and get ready for your own Mud Day celebration!
