Global Leaders for Americas Meet in Albuquerque

The Global Leaders for Young Children program of the World Forum Foundation has a goal to develop leadership throughout the world for the next generation in early care and education by identifying and developing leadership skills in the field. Community Development Institute (CDI) is the Secretariat for the Global Leaders (GL) project for the World Forum with CDI’s CEO Mark Elliott serving as program director for the Global Leaders initiative. The Global Leaders initiative currently has active regional cohorts in Africa, Asia-Pacific, Europe, and the Americas.

The Global Leaders Americas (GLAM) had their first face to face meeting March 13–17, 2017 in Albuquerque, New Mexico in conjunction with the Southwest Consortium of Indian Head Start Programs Inc., 36th Native American Child and Family Conference. The GLAM face-to-face was a meeting with GL participants from tribal child care programs across the United States and early childhood education leaders from Brazil and México.
