The World Forum’s Nature Action Collaborative for Children gathered 70 interdisciplinary teams from 32 nations to create action plans to reconnect the world’s children with nature �" October 17-20, 2010.

Gathered for the work were health advocates, landscape architects, environmental educators, conservationists, early childhood professionals, horticulturalists, water planners, architects, community gardeners, and others. The teams each chose a focus: adopting public policy, creating nature-friendly spaces for children, supporting families, hosting conferences and community forums, and creating multi-disciplinary college courses. They worked within their teams and also with coaches and others with the same focus to take the planning of their initiatives to new levels.

The World Forum commitment as a featured project of the Clinton Global Initiative is that 2,000,000 children will be impacted! Participants at the Action Forum were very aware of their responsibilities in making this commitment a reality.
