“How can I reduce my lighting footprint?”

In the previous Going Green article I professed my love for the compact fluorescent light (CFL). Full disclosure: the CFL does not have my undivided attention. I just want to be honest with you. In today’s increasingly ‘green’-centric world, there are plenty of other options that deserve notice, including devices that turn of the lights for you and others that put the CFL to shame. The wonderful thing about lighting upgrades is that they can be very simple while offering quick paybacks. However, not all of these energy-saving measures may be right for you, but every bit counts, so consider each and go with what will work for you and your center.

I don’t know about you, but one of my pet peeves is walking by a completely vacant room with the lights (or other electronic equipment) left on. And don’t get me started about office buildings lit up like Christmas trees after hours.
