Developmental screening in early childhood involves standardized tools, interdisciplinary efforts, and coordination to bring providers and families together for a common purpose. Not only do the children who are identified at risk benefit from screening, but so do all children! The process of being aware of and discussing child development with parents and other professionals promotes further development and social-emotional wellness.
